NEW Spotify Update!

On February 2nd, 2018, Spotify launched their new feature for the desktop platform. This amazing new feature allows you to see who produced the songs you love! With a simple right click on a song, you are able to view the songwriter and producer credits. As Spotify mentioned in their statement regarding the new update, "At launch, we’re showing information we have from record label-provided metadata, and will also display the source of the credits so you know where it’s coming from." This new update is extremely important and awesome for many reasons.

First off, it's important that the listeners are being educated on who is behind the genius lyrics of their favourite songs, as well as the geniuses behind the editing and mixing.

Secondly, it's great that the producers and songwriters are getting the recognition and credit that they deserve!

Finally, we believe this is a good thing for artists as well. This can be a way for artists to connect with producers and songwriters that they believe can help them achieve the sound they desire.
